Audrey Hepburn Mani Monday

“I believe in
pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing,
kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going
wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that
tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.”

Audrey Hepburn
Almost everyone
who knows me personally knows that I love the classics.  I could sit and watch classic movies
(especially with the original black and white instead of color) all day long.  Of course my favorites are anything by
Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, and not to sound cliché, but Gone With the
Wind.  There’s just something so magical
about these movies.  The acting is over
the top and dramatic and if you notice every actor is filled with talent
because they not only had to know how to act, but how to sing and dance as
well.  My favorite Audrey movie is the
infamous Breakfast at Tiffany’s.  She
just looks so classy in that opening scene with her hair in her updo with that
black dress and sunglasses.

For those of
you who don’t know, today is Audrey Hepburn’s birthday.  She would have been 86 today.  She died in January of 1993 of cancer.  Her legacy lives on and even today people
still know who Audrey Hepburn is.  She
was quite the classy woman.  In honor of
her birthday today I wanted to do an Audrey inspired mani that you see above.

Rest in Peace Miss Holly Golightly
Now moving on to Pedicure Season!  I knew this season would be here sooner rather than later
and I must say my feet are quite the embarrassment.  I’m one of those people who really only takes
care of her feet and toes when it comes to summer time.  My toes are almost never painted in the
winter time (they still aren’t and I’ve been wearing peep toes GASP!).  It’s not just about painted toes though.  Pedicures start with the care of your
feet.  Of course this means moisturizers
and this lovely contraption pictured below!
Here’s a little bit from Emjoi themselves:
“For those who enjoy a home pedicure or like to maintain a professional pedicure, the Emjoi® Micro-Pedi home pedicure device is a worthy investment with a fabulous payoff—beautiful feel that look great in sandals and barefoot and feel great when walking and active. Introduced just a few years ago, this little miracle has sold many million units on QVC worldwide, on-line and at retail stores. It has transformed the home pedicure landscape forever with its ease of use, miraculous spa-quality performance, interchangeable rollers and ability to accommodate a wide range of specialized attachments.
The Micro-Pedi features a unique micro mineral roller (naturally processed from stone) that spins an amazing 30 times a second to painlessly break up, buff and effortlessly remove, dry, rough, hardened, callused skin from the soles of the feet in no more than a few minutes, leaving them soft, supple and beautiful for summer and year-round comfort.  The Micro-Pedi roller action is safer and more effective than blade-based metal, scrapers, and far faster and less laborious than other home-based methods which require constant rubbing.  Imitators have products that are heavier, more aggressive and hard to hold comfortably, whereas Emjoi’s Micro-Pedi has an ergonomically designed handle with easy maneuverability along with ta rubberized grip for added security and comfort.  The Micro-Pedi is the only motorized callous remover to have the American Podiatric Medical Association Seal of Acceptance which is a highly significant endoresement.  CVS, Bed, Bath, and Beyone and  The packaged version with one roller is $29.95 and the spa themed gift boxed version with two rollers is $39.95.”
Pretty much the Micro-Pedi is a dream come true.  It’s easy to use and it really does take off all of that unwanted skin from your feet that should look gorgeous in sandals!
*Please note I was provided the Micro Pedi for a review.  However all opinions are my own.
