Watermelon Nail Art

Summer is in full swing.  We’ve had heat waves, crazy storms, and humidity that makes a curly haired girl look like Mufasa from the Lion King.  My hair has been so extremely frizzy and wavy, although I don’t really mind because there’s nothing I can do and at least this way it forces me to not style it with heating tools because there would be no point.
I’ve done quite a few summer and fruit themed nail designs in the last few weeks.  I really can’t help myself.  I love bright colors and anything summer related.  It’s my favorite season.  To be completely honest I don’t mind the humidity and heat we’ve had lately here in NJ.  It’s a nice break from the crazy cold winters, and the worst part is NJ winters are not that bad compared to other parts of the country.  I could never live anywhere that has winters worse than NJ, I guess I’m spoiled with these winters.
Summer is when everything comes alive.  More people are outside, vacationing, and all of my plants are finally full grown.  Spring is when everything is growing and just starting to peak out from migrating all winter haha.  I don’t mind fall too much either because of all of the colors, however I only like fall in the beginning because it’s not that cold yet!
Ok, now that you’ve heard my rambling about what season I prefer (lol) I hope you enjoy this design.  It’s one of my favorites, and can you tell I’ve been super obsessed with matte lately?  The matte topcoat is just awesome.  Stay tuned to tomorrow’s post because I’m going to have a bonus nail care post that you won’t want to miss along with my usual outfit post.
