success as usual. I was able to score
this dress for a really great price and my mom and I both bought this
blazer. It’s actually funny because we
do this all the time. We pick things up
and show each other what we found and half the time we are going to try on the
same exact things. We ended up both
buying this blazer. On Friday I wore it
to work and then when I saw my mom at the store later on that day, she was
wearing the same blazer. Thankfully I
changed before I met up with her so we weren’t twinning, although that’s a very
common thing that happens with us. If
you follow me on Instagram you’ll see some pictures with my mom and we are
wearing the same exact thing, or something similar that looks the same.
and sometimes we style our pieces very differently so then we can see it from a
different fashion perspective. My mom is
my fashion idol. She always makes sure
she leaves the house dressed up, hair and makeup done, and I admire her for that. There are times where I leave the house and I
don’t even care if my hair or makeup isn’t done because I’m that tired, but my
mom even does this to go to the local grocery store. Her fashion is more on point than mine, and
she’s constantly looking for new fashion inspiration. Which is why instead of getting magazines, I
just watch my mom’s wardrobe haha.
this has been a trend for a little while now.
I usually only mix two prints, but this time I mixed 3. I had a polka dot blazer, striped dress, and
leopard print heels. I actually wore
this outfit to the office and got so many compliments. I always try to buy versatile clothing that
can be worn to the office and out of the office so that I can make the most of
my wardrobe. Also, as a side note, this photo shoot was extremely scary. I almost fell into the river behind me about 5 times haha.
I also wanted to let everyone know if you didn’t read yesterday’s post my friend and I started a GoFundMe for our friend’s son Aiden. Our friend passed away on September 2nd and he is now an angel to a very adorable 6 year old little boy. His mom is now the only provider so we are trying to raise a little bit of money in order to help her out, especially when she is also dealing with the loss of her son’s father. Any donation counts and if you do donate, it would mean a lot to a lot of people. If you can’t donate if you can just share the fundraiser it would be greatly appreciated. If you click here it will bring you right to the GoFundMe fundraiser.

Okay this is so cute! I have done that before with my mom and sister! Which is fine because we all have similar tastes and styles…it's just funny. I love the blazer and you both look great!

Monica, you have styled this jacket brilliantly with that gorgeous dress and the leopard heels! (How did you now fall in that water, though? I would have on heels like that!) How wonderful that you and your mom share the same taste. Your mom looks equally lovely in her polka dot blazer and graphic tee. I will check out your GoFundMe and share where I can. I wish you luck with your fundraiser. That is so very heartbreaking.
By the way, I am giving away a formal gown on my blog this week! I would love for you to come check out the giveaway!
