Bioré Charcoal and a Linkup

I’m sure y’all have heard or seen charcoal beauty products become really popular over the past year or so.  I’ve been wanting to test out some of these charcoal products but haven’t had a chance to until this post with Bioré.  I was able to test out the Bioré Self Heating One Minute Mask at Amazon and the Bioré Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips at Amazon.  I personally liked the mask better, but I’ll go into more details in a little bit.  Both products are super affordable, and can be found at Target or Amazon.  These products are perfect for when you want to pamper yourself for a few minutes at home because we all deserve some time to ourselves every once in a while.  I’m actually trying to do that more often, which is why these products are perfect!  Keep reading to see what I think of both products.

**UPDATE**

Since this post went live I’ve tried these Pore Strips a second time and I definitely didn’t do it right the first time around.  It’s like a blackhead eraser!  I’m in love!

Biore Cleansing Pore Strips

Now, this product was runner up to the self heating mask.  It did help with some blackheads, but I wasn’t as impressed as I was with the mask.  This was really difficult to get to stick because my nose wasn’t wet enough so I had trouble with it, but it did it’s duty for the most part.  Maybe I was doing it wrong and that’s why I didn’t get the same end result as some people.  The way that you use these is you have to wet your nose and then you just peel the clear back off the strip and apply.  Let it sit for 10 minutes and then you take it off.  When I took it off it left a black residue (which is probably part of the charcoal infused part of the strips) so I had to wash that off as well.  I’m going to have to try it again, because maybe I still had makeup residue on my face.

Bioré Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips are also trusted, dermatologist-tested way to purify pores.

Biore One Minute Self Heating Mask

This mask was really easy to apply and at first I didn’t know how I felt about the self heating part, but I ended up loving it in the end!  It was extremely relaxing and refreshing.  It was also really easy to wash off, because you know how sometimes masks harden and then it takes forever to wash them off?  This one was super easy.  All you do is apply it, then massage it to activate the heat, and wash it off after a minute.  The box for this comes with 4 masks total.  Now, I don’t like to do masks too often, I do them at most once a week.  This box will last me a month, maybe even more if I skip a week.

Conclusion

In conclusion I definitely liked both products.  I obviously liked the mask more than the strips, but both get a recommendation from me.  They are both affordable and you definitely get a bang for your buck.  Have any of you tried either of these products?  Which one do you like better?

Now, let’s move on to the linkup!

Maybe I wasn’t using them properly because I’ve used Biore strips in the past when I was a lot younger and they were great. I’ll have to try it again, I think I didn’t do a good job of taking my makeup off the day I tested these.

See that’s what I need, and why I loved this mask. I have combination skin so finding something that fits my skin is so hard.

Thanks for sharing! I enjoy seeing what others are using and I’ve not yet tried a charcoal mask…or strips for that matter! 🙂

I haven’t tried that one mask that is supposed to take out all blackheads but it’s also the epitome of masks gone wrong haha. I’m afraid to try it after seeing so many videos.
