The Upside Down and a Linkup

Alright y’all, who here watches Stranger Things?  I binge watched (thanks Netflix, you’re the real MVP) one weekend and caught up on both seasons.  I always wanted to watch it and never got a chance to.  The fiancé told me that I would love it but that I would have to watch a few episodes to get into it.  Well, he was wrong, because I was hooked after the first episode!  None of it made any sense, but I was intrigued.  So, I continued to watch until I caught up on season 1 and then I watched season 2 with the fiancé.

I must say, Dustin is my spirit character from this show.  In the one episode where they are planning how to break into the lab, Lucas brings a bunch of actual tools needed, while Dustin brings snacks.  Um, why did Lucas and Mike get mad?  You NEED snacks when you are trying to save the world, duh lol.  Basically, what I’m trying to say is, that would be me.  I would be on snack duty.  He also had Dart and wanted so badly to have a new friend, and to be honest, that would be me.

I now understand all of the Halloween costumes of Eleven two Halloweens ago.  I love that the show is based around young kids saving the world.  I find it really interesting, because usually it’s the adults, but in this show it’s completely different.  I think the actors are amazing, especially the children.  They all make it seem believable and real.

I read an article a few weeks back stating that Stranger Things was actually inspired by the government conspiracy, The Montauk Projects.  I don’t have a legitimate source, so I’m unsure if this is actually true, but I do find it interesting.  I always find it interesting when people start tapping into conspiracy theories.  If you are interested in these types of things, read about Project MKUltra.  That’s a really disturbing one.

Anyway, if you watch Stranger Things you’ll understand the title of this post and these pictures a little better.  Also, how cute is this Stranger Things sweatshirt???  I could’ve easily gotten a top that said Stranger Things, or something of that nature, but when I saw this, I liked that it was subtle and only Stranger Things fans would appreciate it.  Don’t forget to linkup below!

    I LOVE Stranger Things. I watched both seasons twice and I enjoyed it just as much the second time around as I did the first. I love the children in the show! Great pictures! Now I want your sweatshirt!

    I haven’t heard of this show but will ask the hubs since he is the TV king of our house! That’s a very cute sweatshirt and I am with you on the snack duty. I love food and have no problems snacking! The only downside to that is I may have eaten all of the snacks before I get it to the group! Lol 😂 Hmmm….yeah. Well, it’s Thursday!
