Duster: Shein // Pants: Old Navy // Tank: Ewa Bazaar // Shoes: Famous Footwear // Hat: Old Navy
A long time ago (1st grade to be exact), I had a project at school. We had to take a poster board and talk about our family, any interesting facts about us and our hobbies. When I was younger I didn’t really have any hobbies. My imagination was so extremely active that it’s almost like I didn’t need a hobby, because I had 5 million hobbies going on in my head haha. However, that’s obviously not something that you can put on a poster board. My grandma was visiting us from Poland around this time and she said to put that I collect elephant figurines. Ever since that moment I collect anything with elephants on it and they are my favorite animal besides dogs. I wouldn’t really call it a hobby nowadays because I don’t go out of my way to collect all things elephant, but if I see something with an elephant you bet your butt I’m buying it.
With all of that being said, I wanted to talk about a conversation that I had with my fiance recently. Over the past few months with how much work I’ve had, I’ve often thought about shutting down my blog. As much as I love my blog and everything about it, I’m starting to get tired. I expressed these feelings to my fiance and the way that he is (because he knows I always do the opposite), he said ok, we will stop taking pictures. Then I would ask him, well what do you think? He would respond with he thinks I should keep going because he knows how much I love my blog and how much time and effort I’ve put into it, not to mention how much I invested financially as well. That’s what started a conversation with him and how much sense it made.
I work in an office, like a lot of other people who read my blog. I know a lot of bloggers personally so I know that they work full time and then blog at night, which is what I do. This blog is a business, yes, but it’s also a hobby. People who work hard every day need something to show for it. If you work with your hands, for example if you’re a mechanic, welder, carpenter, etc., you have a finished product to show your hard work actually accomplished something. When you work in an office, you don’t really get that satisfaction of seeing a tangible object that you made. All I have to show for my hard work is a bunch of emails and phone call records. That’s not really satisfying for a human being. I think that’s why so many office people that I know all have a hobby. Some people play video games (I don’t care how “immature” someone will call it, they like it, so back off), some paint, others like to build things at home, while some do activities and other sports after work. Then there’s me, I blog. My fiance is right, we can stop taking pictures and creating content, but at the end of the day I’ll basically feel empty and like something is missing. This blog is what keeps me happy and makes me feel like I actually accomplished something.
This is why I think everyone needs a hobby. You need something that makes you happy, something that keeps you going, something that makes you feel accomplished.

I love all the colors going on in your outfit. That duster kimono is stinking cute also! I agree with having a hobby. It’s something more personable and enjoyable than just going to work day in and day out. I have a few that I keep on rotation that keeps me occupied and out of trouble! Lol 😂 Happy Monday and I hope you are having a great day so far!
