I was so freakin’ excited to take these pictures. I know it’s not true Coachella attire, but it’s the closest thing I could do working with what was already in my closet. For this year’s Halloween series I tried to work with things I already had in my closet. I needed something to keep me going this month because as you’ve already heard a million times. I’ve been really stressed out since I came back from Poland. Being creative is my escape from turning into Britney Spears circa 2007. I’ve been trying to use pieces that are in my closet, because that is more fun for me. I have a lot of pieces in my closet that can be worn so many different ways. All of the pieces in this entire outfit has been used on this blog so many times in different ways. The wig I also had from two years ago. I did this awesome mermaid makeup tutorial that I posted on my YouTube as well.
So, speaking of being stressed out since I came back from vacation. I started stress eating (really badly). I decided to try yet another diet. Yes, I know I’m nuts, but I do really enjoy testing different diets. I don’t know why, I just find it enjoyable and even though I don’t like to cook (this might be because the apartment kitchen is the size of a freakin closet) I like to create healthier versions of foods that I love. Although noting will replace the taste of my mom’s pierogi, those things cannot be substituted for anything else. I started the Whole 30, which I will blog about once the 30 days is done. I’m not going to lie, this is so far my least favorite diet because there’s no dairy allowed. If y’all know me, you know that I love cheese. So this is going to be a big test for me. I have a feeling I may cave. I CANNOT live without cheese. I am excited though because I’ll be done with this diet by the time it’s Thanksgiving so I’ll be able to binge on my 3rd day of being diet free!
xoxo Monica

You had me at “Coachella!” Ha ha! A couple of years ago, I used Coachella styles to put together an outfit. I think you nailed it! Good luck with Whole 30.

This is a really cute costume. Love the pink hair and it totally rocks! I turn to eating too when I get stressed and now that it’s close to the holidays, stressed or not, I am just excited for all the seasonal food! I started on diet too which pretty much consists of eating salads and let me tell you, I am not a happy camper! But we got this right?!

What a great costume idea. I’m totally telling my daughter about this idea. For about 3 months she kept talking to me about and showing me pictures about Coachella. She was obsessed.
