So many years have gone by since Rosie the Riveter first surfaced into the world, and so many years later and we still associate her with strength.
I feel like I’ve been needing that a lot lately and I finally got my groove back this week. Work has been wearing me down, and while I was out sick last Friday, something happened. I was told of this on Monday and ever since, I have been a force to be reckoned with. It’s almost like one of those things where they say, “there’s a new bitch in town.” I just feel so much better now that, that happened. It opened my eyes a bit.
You see, life has this funny way of showing you things through bad things as well. Not every bad experience is in fact bad. There may be something good that comes out of it. I have learned through my life experiences that when they say “what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger” is one of the realest sayings out there. It’s the truth. We all need to go through bad times to appreciate the good and to constantly try to become better people. I’m hoping everything squares itself away soon, but until then, I’ll keep being strong.
xoxo Monica

Um, yeah, I’ve been the new b*tch in town, before! I also was inspired by Rosie the Riveter, but I did my post on Labor Day–hope you don’t mind if I share: https://www.fiercefashionblog.com/2018/09/labor-day-with-denim.html
