I am welcoming 2019 with open arms! 2018 was very good to me (minus some difficulties throughout the year) and I’m excited to see what 2019 brings. I have a few goals I want to accomplish this year, and a few resolutions.
Announcement
I have an exciting announcement that I will probably talk about at the end of the month. I will give you hints and let you know that I’m not pregnant, nor did we set a date or get married in a small wedding. It’s something completely different, but it is definitely something life changing, scary, and exciting all at the same time.
Health
I have decided after looking at my analytics for 2018 that my health and fitness posts were the most viewed last year and of all time, and this year, I’m going to start a health and fitness series every Monday starting in a few weeks so that I can create some content. It will be called Motivation Monday, and it will be a mix of reviews of programs, workouts, body positivity, recipes, etc. Since I’ve done so many programs and challenges, that I really enjoy except for one which was the Whole30, I want to share whatever my experiences have been with different types of things health wise.
Finances
I hope to get my finances all up to speed and more money saved along with my fiance so that we can finally buy our house!
Wedding
I’d like to at least set a date this year haha. We got engaged summer of 2017, and I am getting really annoyed of all of the “have you set a date” questions, so I’m hoping to at least be able to set a date, even if it’s 5 years down the line haha.
Relax
I would like to be able to relax. I want to be able to take a day off from work and not be thinking about all of the work I have to come back to. I want to be able to not worry about the dishes that are in the sink, and I’d like to be able to just sit down and enjoy some quiet time.
Quality Time
Spending more quality time with family, especially my fiance would be ideal. Having a monthly date night would be the best thing ever, but with how busy we have both been, it’s so hard to force ourselves to go out and have a legitimate date night. However, I would hope that this can change in 2019.

Monica, this outfit is so stinking adorable! I love the whole look from head to toe and the background is so pretty! As far as date nights, you better start doing them now BEFORE you have babies! (Haha…I’m totally joking about the baby comment!) I wish you so much success in the New Year! It is going to be a great one, for sure!

Happy New Year! Best of luck with all of the changes you are making. I really like your skirt and your hat! I tried a hat on that style recently and wasn’t sure how much I would wear it.

Happy 2019 Monica! I can’t believe we are day two into the New Year although I can’t complain. I took a break from my computer to spend time with family and I have to admit I am already having withdrawals since most folks are back to the grind. I haven’t quite set goals for myself this year but I love all of yours. It’s great you are starting a new series and relaxing still ranks high on my list as well. Btw, I love your entire look. Both feminine and chic. I have been tempted to buy a pleated skirt but not quite taken the plunge!

I love the skirt…the whole look is the perfect mix of elements! I don’t do resolutions, but this year I’ve chosen to words as my focus for change this year. I’m really looking forward to doing some things differently.
