Another Who Wore it Better post is here y’all! When my mom and I took these pictures it was so cold outside, but we toughed it out to get a good shot haha. This has been a constant theme on my blog. Back when I first started in 2013 I did many different things for my blog. Whether it was standing in the most ridiculous poses that actually looked really good in the photo, freezing my butt off in the cold, sweating in the summer when it was time to share fall outfits for the upcoming season.
In 2013, two friends of mine who had taken a few of my pictures and I came up with this saying “for the sake of blogging.” My one friend would make me stand in this ridiculous poses to make sure that I looked thinner, my butt looked perky, my posture was on point, and my gut was hidden haha. I’ve worn sleeveless dresses in the snow just to get a beautiful photo. I’ve actually gotten sick after some photos. I’ve had cars honk at me, people waving because I guess they think that I’m a model or something. To this day, after so many years, I still sometimes feel uncomfortable taking photos when people are around, and I’m not sure that, that will ever go away to be completely honest.
What’s the craziest thing you’ve done to get a good shot?
xoxo Monica

Oh yes, for the sake of blogging! That’s a very familiar phrase in my life, too. I have stood in blizzards with no coat on, worn 4 inch heels through feet of snow and ice. But it always makes for a good story and a great laugh, doesn’t it?! I am loving these adorable outfits on you and your mom.

I love everything about this vest! I can’t get enough and of course, that teddy bear shirt is just so adorable. How can I not love it?! I don’t mind taking photos. That doesn’t get on my skin and make me feel awkward. It’s the I have to pose and make it look somehow cool! Then I start sweating bullets! Hehe But lately, if you’ve noticed I have been wearing sunglasses on my photos more often than I should. It’s my secret weapon to invincibility!

Ah this is so cute! I love that the outfits are essentially the same but the shoes! I think it shows you can edge it up with boots or make it casual with your tennis shoes!

I love the tee on both of you. However, I think your mom jeans the lighter one do it more justice if you know what I mean. Since the tee is black :). But I love it on both of you with the vest such a nice variation

Ha, my photographer (also my boyfriend) thought my shoes looked cool against the stripes of the crosswalk, so he had me run back and forth across the street several times, holding up traffic. One of the cars was not having it and almost hit us!

The photos turned out great! I really don’t like taking photos in the cold – I can’t hide it in my body or on my face!! You must be missing your mum xx
