It’s time for another wedding update!

I haven’t done a wedding update in a bit, but I cannot believe it’s less than 3 weeks away! Where has the time gone, it’s so crazy to think that in less than 3 weeks, I’ll be a wife to someone. Well, at least on paper, I feel like my fiance and I are already married, we just don’t have the official document saying we are. We’ve known each other for 15 years now, and have been together for I think January will be 6 years. Along with living together for 3 or 4 years now. See, I’ve lost count haha! So far, I have checked a few things off my list. I still have to make my bouquet, along with figuring out what I want to do for my MOH’s bouquet. Here is an update on what I’ve finished since the last one.
INVITATIONS
My fiance was the brains behind this operation. He knew that I was started to get a little overwhelmed and he told me he would help me with the invitations. I’m terrible with using the Cricut, but he’s mastered it. We decided on making our invitations, because first of all, we only had a few to send out (as you can see pictured above) and we knew if we had them made it would take way too long and cost more since we weren’t ordering in bulk.
Another reason as to why we decided to make our invitations is we could make them exactly how we wanted them. As you can see we laminated the invitations. This was done on purpose (obviously) in case anyone wanted to keep the invitations because some people in our family are sentimental. Of course, we went with a Nightmare Before Christmas theme because it was “on brand” with the entire wedding theme haha.
CENTERPIECES
I wasn’t sure how these centerpieces would come out, but I’m really happy with how they did. I was very limited on what I could do because we don’t really have much to choose from when it comes to craft stores in this area. It’s seriously slim pickins’ and I hate it. I bought some pumpkins from Walmart, and decided to paint them black and accessorize with our wedding colors. I will say that I did get glitter EVERYWHERE. The ribbons were covered in glitter, but even though there will be glitter in our store (that’s where I was working on them) forever, it kind of helped by getting some glitter on the pumpkins themselves. While they’re very simple centerpieces, I love how they came out and I think they look adorable.
Anyway, here is the weekly linkup, and thank you for letting me share this process with y’all. It’ll be a nice little way to remember this in the future.

Those center pieces turned out great! I tried to make so much for our wedding too; not just to save money but also to give that personal touch.
