Sunflower Diaper Bag & a Linkup

SUNFLOWER DIAPER BAG

Y’all, my sunflower diaper bag came in!  Excitement when I saw it, is an understatement.  It’s nothing super special, and one of my friends is actually getting me another diaper bag for my baby shower, but I love it.  I think when I go to order all of my hospital bag stuff, I might buy a sunflower bag for that too.  I found this one on Amazon and I fell in love with it.  I’m not sure why I’ve been wanting sunflowers but I saw this bag and it spoke to me, same with the hospital bag.

Since my husband will be out of town this weekend, I decided that’s when I’m going to order all of the things I need for my hospital bag because I read that you should have it ready by week 32 and that’s what I’ll be at on Sunday.  I thought this pregnancy would take forever, but honestly it has flown by like crazy, but I’m so excited to meet bebe!

NURSERY UPDATE

If you read last week’s post, we had quite the bad experience trying to buy things for the nursery.  I’m happy to report that we had much better luck this past Sunday.  We bought most of the bigger pieces of furniture that we’ll definitely need, especially things we’ll need in the beginning.  My husband is already spoiling the bebe because there were a few things that he grabbed that were overkill, but he said he wants the best for bebe and me.  I will say though, if any of you reading this have any suggestions for breast pumps let me know.  My sister in law told me she loved her Medela and that’s the one I’m thinking of getting so far.  She also suggested getting Dr. Brown Pacifiers and Bottles, but she did warn me that bebe might not like them, so I’ll probably get a few to start with.

MOST RECENT DOCTOR’S VISIT

At my most recent doctor’s visit I found out that I tested perfectly fine and do not have the antibodies that I was worried about in last week’s post.  I did test kind of low when it came to two other things that have to do with my Iron.  The doctor said that while it’s on the low side, it’s not at a worrisome level because it’s always lower during pregnancy.  If I drop another 2 points then I’ll have to take supplements and can possibly be diagnosed with anemia.  I was anemic when I was younger so this doesn’t surprise me.

The bebe was not happy at the doctor’s visit though.  The heart rate was 20 points lower than it usually is, but it was still at a normal level so the doctor said bebe was probably sleeping.  Well, once bebe heard the doppler for long enough, bebe let out a big kick and kicked the doctor.  That’s when the heart rate went back to what it normally is.  I guess bebe got mad that we were disturbing bebe’s slumber lol.  All I have to say is now bebe knows how I feel when I can’t sleep at night because of all the kicking.
