YOUR OWN TWIST LINKUP
Another month has come and gone and it’s time for the Your Own Twist Linkup again! I cannot believe next month will be the fourth time we style Halloween outfits together. This month’s theme is inspired by country music. I had to whip out my cowgirl boots and flannel for this one. This flannel will come in handy come winter time here. It is a maternity flannel, but I don’t really know what would justify it being maternity. This flannel just feels like a normal every day flannel to me.

FUNNY STORY ABOUT THE COWGIRL BOOTS
As most of you can probably tell (and it’s all I’ve been talking about), I’m very pregnant. This past Sunday marked 34 weeks. That means, I’m very swollen. I have hippo feet and I actually thought I was going to get the one foot stuck in my boots. That’s why I decided that I wouldn’t put the one boot on all the way. I didn’t want it to get stuck to the point where we would have to cut the boot off. Several years back, I did buy a wooden boot taker offer. I’m not sure exactly what it’s called, but that’s the name I came up with. That probably would’ve been sufficient, but I wasn’t taking any chances.

INSPIRED BY COUNTRY MUSIC THEME IS PERFECT
If y’all have been here for a while, you know why my blog was restarted and why it’s called Jersey Girl, Texan Heart. I’m originally from NJ, and a daughter to Polish immigrants. When I was 24 years old, I decided to pack whatever I could into my VW Jetta and move to Texas. I wasn’t there for very long, but I’ll always have a place in my heart for Texas. I learned a lot while I was there, and it was an experience I wouldn’t trade for the world. While it wasn’t all good, there was definitely some bad mixed in, it molded me into who I am today. That’s why this theme is perfect, because I did used to listen to a lot of country down in Texas. I did learn how to two step by a Texan. This also means, I have A LOT of cowgirl boots in my closet!

LET’S MOVE ON TO THE LINKUP
Now, let’s move onto the linkup!

Monica, what a fun post and I love this outfit! That flannel is super cute. Is it maybe just cut with a little extra fabric around the middle, making it maternity wear? Your turquoise boots are freaking fabulous! I just ordered a white pair of cowgirl boots (and a pair of Dr. Martens. Eek.) I have a pair of custom made cowboy boots that I needed a boot taker offer for. But now they don’t fit my feet at all since having kids. I believe the boot taker offer contraption is call a boot wedge. My husband recently found mine in a closet and he was like, “What the hell is this and can I get rid of it?” To which I responded that he cannot get rid of it because it is a very handy boot taker offer!

It’s cut like a normal flannel with no extra give in the mid section. It’s so weird. It’s almost like they just made these flannels a bit bigger than the average size and then slapped the name maternity on it haha. I can button it up though and it’s still just as comfy. It’s so strange, some maternity clothes I’ve bought are very obviously maternity because there’s a lot of extra fabric in the mid section, and then others it just runs bigger. Boot wedge actually makes sense, but you know me, I’m weird and will probably continue calling it a boot taker offer hahaha!
