NURSERY REVEAL
The day has come, I’m finally able to present the nursery reveal to y’all! It’s still not 100% finished, but it’s getting there. My mother in law has a few things being sent to us as well when it comes to decor and a bouncer of some kind. Baby will be very spoiled in the beginning and I’m so excited to meet the little pumpkin. As I’m writing this, I did go to my doctor today and everything seems to be good and on schedule. We will see if baby wants to make an early appearance, but I hope baby can wait until after the baby shower on Sunday. My sister in law went all out for it because I originally didn’t want a shower so baby has to wait until after that so that we can enjoy the shower.

THE NURSERY FURNITURE DEBACLE
If you’ve been following along with my pregnancy posts for a while, you may have already read about the nursery furniture debacle. My husband and I only have one day off, which is Sunday. Well, now I have some more time because I’m working from home. However, we went to our local Target and they didn’t have that big of a selection. We started looking at other furniture stores in the area and there weren’t really any there. We were even planning on driving all the way to Pensacola for nursery furniture. Then when we finally gave up on trying we thought we’d look for a place to eat breakfast. Well needless to say, that didn’t happen. We ended up going home and the day was pretty ruined after that. Then the following weekend we tried another Target that was a bit farther away from us. Luckily for us, we hit the jackpot! We bought most of our stuff that weekend.

LAST MINUTE BUYS
The other day I had two doctor’s appointments in one day and instead of going back home, I wanted to kill some time in between. It’s easier to do that than go home and excite the dogs, only to make them sad when I have to leave in an hour. Which is why after my one appointment I went to Target. I did have a few last minute things to buy for my hospital bag because I was missing a thing or two. Then I decided to just walk around Target for a bit and I came across the whale rocker and that tummy time play thingy. I know baby doesn’t need it right away, but I figured it was a good buy especially because I’m not going to be out and about once baby is here.

ZERO TAKING HER JOB AS BIG SISTER VERY SERIOUSLY
As you can see in the above few pictures, Zero is taking her job as big sister very seriously. She actually didn’t like the whale rocker when I first brought it inside. Zero kept bonking it with her nose. Also, that chair that’s in the photo is only temporary. We still haven’t bought a rocker/glider but are planning too. However, for the time being I needed some kind of chair in there. I do have more pillows for the chair though because it is a wicker chair.

THE CHANGING TABLE/DRESSER
You might see the diaper genie there in the corner. I originally didn’t want to get it but then I changed my mind after my husband explained it a little more to me and how it works. Can you tell that I literally never expected to have children? Anyway, this dresser is also a changing table, but you do need to purchase the pad separately.

ORGANIZER AND HAMPER
My husband told me not to buy this organizer for the nursery because it probably wasn’t the best quality. It’s not, it’s very simple if I’m being completely honest. However, it will come in very handy. Not to mention it was super easy to put together. If my 9 month pregnant self can put it together, anyone can haha. It was a little wobbly, but my husband tightened it for me. I wanted to put it together myself to feel useful for once. Over these past few weeks I’ve been feeling very useless because I physically can’t do a lot of things. I’m happy with the purchase of this though because it freed up some room from the dresser and now I can have things a little more organized.

THIS IS 37 WEEKS
All of my photos this month were taken last month. Which means y’all won’t see the progress of the bump, but this is the most up to date picture I have of the bump. The last up to date photo will probably be the baby shower photo if we can make it to then! I’ll be 38 weeks but I have a feeling baby will be coming earlier than the due date. Which makes me sad because I would’ve loved for baby and her dad to share a birthday. It would’ve been so sweet. My mother in law also said that judging by this picture she thinks baby will be here before the due date. We shall see, but I’m going to try and schedule as much content as I can ahead of time so that I don’t miss anything. Anyway, I know I went off on a tangent. However I hope y’all liked this nursery reveal and maybe it’ll help some of y’all with nursery shopping!
Shelbee on the Edge says
Aw, Monica, the nursery looks so great! I got a basic glider with a matching gliding footstool when I was pregnant with Archie. He is 10 now and I still have that glider in my bedroom and use it daily. I kind of wish I had invested in a better quality one! So that’s my tip for you on rocking chairs…your butt gets real comfortable in that chair and you will want to keep it forever so go for quality and something that will transition to another room later on. I laughed at your diaper genie resistance. I never had one because they kind of grossed me out! But I also lived where it was easy enough to just take the dirty diapers straight outside anyway. I am so excited for your new baby adventures! And you look freaking fantastic in that fun orange dress.
