FLORIDA THANKSGIVING OUTFIT
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving which is why today I’m sharing my Florida Thanksgiving Outfit. It does get colder in my area of Florida (I’m in the panhandle) so we do get fall weather. However, it’s still pretty “warm” in November. To the locals it’s time for jackets, but as someone from the north east, 60 degrees isn’t cold. Is it a little chilly when there’s wind? Well, yes, but I don’t think it’s time for a North Face jacket. I’ve seen people whip out their North Face jackets already. I wonder if I’ll ever get used to that or if I’ll ever get used to 60 degrees being cold.

OUR FIRST THANKSGIVING WITH SCARLETT
This will be our first Thanksgiving with Scarlett. We don’t really have family here to spend Thanksgiving with, but we’re going to make our own tradition. Before Scarlett, we would just stay home and eat dinner, but it wasn’t anything special. It was just another day for us. Now that we have Scarlett, well, the holidays are going to be different for her sake. First we’ll eat some food, because I mean what would Thanksgiving be without food, and then we’re going to make gingerbread houses with Scarlett. Of course she’s only almost two months old so she won’t understand what these houses are. However, we will make it a tradition to do that every year so that she has something to look forward to every year. I’m sure when she gets older she won’t want to do that with us anymore, and that’s ok, but for her younger years, it’ll be nice.

LET’S MOVE ON TO THE LINKUP!
Well, it’s time for the weekly linkup. It will be the last one before the incredibly busy holiday season. If you’re going out for Black Friday, I wish you the best of luck that you get everything you want. Stay safe out there and be patient with the retail workers. As someone who worked in retail, Black Friday, well, sucks. There’s no other way to put it. Black Friday is the day that retail employees deal with the worst people. Think of your stereotypical “Karen” but on steroids. Anyway, enough of me lecturing, let’s move on to the linkup, and I hope you enjoy your time with your families!

Super cute Thanksgiving outfit, Monica! So I am from the very way north where people are used to seeing -40 degrees in the winter. I never needed a coat until it hit single digits. Until the premenopause symptoms started…and now I need a coat if it is 60 degrees…so I suddenly understand Floridians in the cold! I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving, my friend! Have fun making those gingerbread houses. I think I am making Christmas crack cookies with my boys tomorrow.

My children use to live in Florida and I would fly in to visit them in February. I remember the locals all dressed up as if it were winter, and I would be wearing flip flops and shorts. I thought it was hysterical. I don’t think the locals are truly cold. I think they just like a change of wardrobe, just like we do. That’s my theory anyway, ha ha. That’s a great idea to start your own holiday traditions with Scarlett. I love that red dress.
