YOUR OWN TWIST: WATERMELON DAYS
Whenever I see watermelons on clothing or just the watermelon itself I think of what a customer at our auto shop said to me. I was pregnant with bèbè and I popped haha. You could finally tell that I was pregnant and I didn’t just gain some weight or had a food baby. The customer, who was a regular, saw me and said in her cute southern accent “well hey girl, did you swallow a watermelon seed?” That day was a rough day and she made it better by just asking one little funny question.

THINKING OF REBRANDING
I’ve been toying with the idea of changing my blog name and social media handles as part of a rebrand. This still isn’t 100% certain. However, after almost 9 years of this name, I don’t know if I match it anymore. I’ll always have a love for Texas and I’ll always be a Jersey girl, but I’ve evolved so much. Maybe I’m just feeling this way because of a lot of things happening in life right now and I haven’t been feeling myself at all. Or maybe this is the perfect time for a fresh start. I guess stay tuned to see if I change anything haha.

WE WENT TO OUR FIRST REAL PARK
Well, it wasn’t my first real park or my husband’s, but it was for bèbè. The other day I went to a local park with my sister in law and her kids. We did laps around the little pond while her sons went around on their scooters. My sister in law has a newborn so her and I walked together and just chatted. It was nice to get out and walk with different scenery. We’re used to our walks around our neighborhood which we haven’t been on in over a week due to rain and having some sleeping issues. Our time there was cut short due to a storm, and we actually beat the rain by a split second. It started to drizzle and then once I started driving is when it started to rain haha.

STARTED SOME NEW SKIN CARE
As I’ve gotten older, paying attention to my skin has been a big deal for me. I’ve started testing our new products and seeing what works best for me. I even started Gua Sha last year. It’s been an on and off thing because I’m really bad with staying consistent with it now that Scarlett is here. I’ll probably write an updated skincare routine blog post with the new products I’ve been using.
However, the reason I updated my routine is because of melasma. Last year, while I was pregnant, I noticed this dark spot above my upper lip that looked like a mustache. Not thinking too much about it I figured it was from sweating while working at the shop in the summer so it was probably some weird friction or sweat stain. It never went away. That’s when I started researching and saw that this can be caused by hormones. Since I’m breastfeeding, maybe that’s a possibility, or it’s from sun damage because I used to go tanning all the time.
Regardless, I started researching products to use to help reduce the darkness by just a little. That’s when I stumbled upon a brand that I actually used in the past. I think I should just write an entire post about it and list out all the new products I’m using because my face definitely cleared up.

I love this cute little watermelon top over the black dress! You look amazing, my friend! And I remember when that customer asked you if you swallowed a watermelon seed! Such a cute thing to say! I look forward to seeing how you rebrand if you decide to go that way. While you will always be a Jersey Girl at heart, you really are a Florida Mom now! Maybe that’s your rebrand…Florida Mom, Jersey Heart! Haha.

Your watermelon top is really cute! I’ll be watching to see how you go about your rebranding. If that comes to fruition. I’ve been thinking along those lines myself. Rosemary
