Ok, so I’m constantly showing nail art every Monday, and I’ve done a few nail care posts as well. For today’s post I want to do a mix of both! As most of you know if you’ve been following my nail art posts, I SWEAR by Sally Hansen, especially when it comes to the strengthening products. I don’t go a manicure without using the Sally Hansen strengthening products. Well, I was introduced to two products by Sally Hansen and I’m completely in love. The first product is the Sally Hansen Vitamin E Nail and Cuticle Oil. This stuff is the bomb dot com! I went to my local Walmart to pick up these two products.
I’ve been looking for a really good cuticle and nail oil. Now the best thing about this oil is even though it’s an oil it doesn’t feel like one. Since I’m constantly doing my nails I need something to protect them from being dry and brittle. The Natural Essential Oil Complex with Vitamin E, Wheat Germ, Apricot Kernel, Aloe & Panthenol moisturizes and conditions cuticles while increasing nail flexibility. moving on to the Sally Hansen Complete Care 7-in-1 Nail Treatment. Ok, who doesn’t love a product that has multiple things combined into one? So, what are the 7 items in one? The all in one items are Base Coat, Top Coat, Growth Treatment, Strengthener, Ridge-Filler, Brightener, and Ultra-Moisturizing Nail Treatment. Pretty much it’s a manicure dream. I personally like that it has the growth treatment, strengthener, ridge filler, and ultra moisturizing because that’s what my nails need really bad with all of the manicures I do. This product is also supposed to help prevent staining which is always a plus for those of us who do a lot with our nails. Now that I explained some of the awesome features that these Sally Hansen products offer, let’s move on to the tutorial of how to use them and some fun summer designs that I’ve come up with.
Step 1: Sally Hansen Vitamin E Nail and Cuticle Oil
Make sure you remove any nail polish that is on your nails.
Buff them if you would like, that’s what I usually do.
Now brush on the nail and cuticle oil to your nails and cuticles. The directions state to do this nightly.
Massage in to help increase circulation to your nail and stimulate growth.
If used before a manicure or pedicure, remove thoroughly with soap and water or nail polish remover before applying nail polish. Reapply after the nail polish has dried.
Step 2: Complete Care 7 in 1 Nail Treatment
Now, time to use your 7 in 1 nail treatment. Brush this on as a base coat.
If you want to stop here that’s perfectly fine, I know sometimes we like to give our nails a break.
The pure shine will last 10 days.
However, if you want to continue with your manicure I used the colors below, and then used the 7 in 1 as a top coat as well.
Step 3: Nail Polish
Now, the finishing touches! Choose whatever colors or designs you’d like to do.
I usually apply two to three coats.
Let your nails dry before applying each coat otherwise they will get sticky/tacky and then they will take FOREVER to dry.
Once your nails dry apply the Sally Hansen complete Care 7 in 1 Nail Treatment because it works as a top coat as well.
Let that dry and voila you are finished!
Ok, so if you want to do more of a summer design besides just colors, below are some summer nail art designs that I’ve done within the course of this summer and last summer. I love love love summer, and I’m pretty sure my nails below speak for that statement!
Where do you find these awesome products? I went to my local Walmart which is in Flanders, NJ. Below are pictures of where I found them in particular. These products have to be top selling because I was able to buy almost the last ones!
