Glo Esthetics and a Linkup

This post is brought to you by Glo Esthetics

Two weekends ago I went to get the first facial of my entire life!  This facial was a little different than most.  It’s called a MicroGLO Facial.  Before I go into my experience I want to talk about Corey, who was the one who did my facial, and the information about the facial as well.

Corey

Coralie (Corey) Palek is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner.  She is licensed in NY and NJ.  When I first received a message from Corey on Instagram (funny, how one social media platform can connect you in so many ways) I was honestly a little nervous.  I saw that Glo Esthetics also did botox and fillers and if you read my plastic surgery post a few months ago, you would know I wanted nothing to do with it.  However, I will admit, I generalized and since I’ve seen all of these Kylie Jenner lookalikes, or botched jobs, I swore I’d never get any of those.  However, with wrinkles showing up, I’m open to botox when I’m older because Corey does a beautiful job where everything looks natural.  Her before and after photos of clients looks so natural, you would never know they “had work done” unless you saw the before and after photos.  I feel like that’s the problem nowadays, is that so many people are trying to actually look fake instead of just accentuating their already beautiful and unique features.  After seeing that Corey was a Nurse Practitioner, I knew that she would take good care of me.  After she completed her Nurse Practitioner degree, she began working in adult cardiology and while working in this field, she decided to branch out and learn about Esthetics.  She became certified in the Advanced Techniques of Neurotoxins and Dermal Fillers for the use Facial Enhancement.  She now does both!  She works in the specialty of Heart Failure at Morristown Medical Center in NJ and runs this esthetics business of hers.

MicroGLO Facial Treatment

Corey was very good at explaining exactly what she was going to do with this facial, the ingredients, and she even showed me the tools before she did anything.  She stated that she can make custom serums depending on what the client wants.  She also can focus more on certain problem areas, for example if you have slight discoloring under your eyes, she will focus more in that region.  As described on the Glo Esthetics website, this is more information about the treatment:

The comfort of a facial-the collagen boost of micro-needling-the results of neuromodulators and dermal fillers.

MicroGLO treatments utilize the new AQUAGOLD micro-channeling technology delivering micro droplets of proprietary skin enhancing serums directly into the dermis (second layer of the skin).  This enhanced delivery method continuously out performs topical solutions and wraps by addressing skin issues beneath the surface, where most take root.

These treatments not only provide more enhanced results than traditional methods, they do so with less skin irritation than other micro needling devices.  The micro channels utlizied to deliver your personalized skin serum are finer than a human hair, causing no pain or acute damage while penetrating the skin’s surface.

MicroGLO treatments will tighten loose skin-improve pigmentation from sun damaged skin-reduce fine lines and wrinkles-reduce redness from Rosacea-Treat Acne Scarring-most importantly, increase collagen and elastin production, which are key to youthful looking skin.

Now there are 3 different Signature Facials and two Specialized Treatment Facials.

Signatre Facials

  • MicroGLO Prevantative
  • MicroGLO Anti-Aging
  • MicroGLO PRP-coming soon

Specialized Treatment Facials

  • MicroGLO Rosacea
  • MicroGLO Acne Scarring

My Experience

First of all I loved that Corey went through everything in full detail with me.  She was extremely professional and I felt like I was in good hands.  Her husband was there too along with my fiancé and there is proof that we live in a small world, because her husband knew our High School principal.  Anyway, after we all talked about non facial related things, Corey started the facial.

During

During the facial I was super relaxed.  I couldn’t believe how relaxing it was.  The first time I heard micro needling, I was a bit nervous that it would hurt.  Maybe it’s because I have tattoos and that’s why the facial was relaxing.  It was a little painful but it was a relaxing painful.  I really don’t know how to explain it.  I personally loved it but Corey did tell me that some people have been known to get a little ticklish too around the neck area.

Same Day

As you can see from my pictures my face looks a little slimey after the procedure.  This is the serum because my skin is still absorbing it.  I didn’t wear makeup at all that day and I didn’t wash my face until it was time for bed.  I instantly felt refreshed and I felt like I did something really good for my skin.

Next Day

My skin felt so nice.  It felt tighter.  I didn’t think it was possible, but I felt like my skin got younger.  I have fine lines and wrinkles and this helped with a few of those finer lines and it made my pores look gawgeous!  I have this problem with enlarged pores now that I’ve gotten older and I felt like it helped with that.  I have some discoloration under my eyes thanks to genetics, stress, and sleep deprivation, but it helped with this too.  I overall looked more refreshed.

1 Week

My skin was looking great!  It still felt tight and rejuvenated.

2 Weeks

This facial is still going strong.  My skin still feels and looks amazing.  I’m so glad that I got to do this facial, and I really recommend it for anyone who wants to pamper themselves and get benefits from it too.

I honestly never would’ve done this facial, if it wasn’t for Corey reaching out.  I’m always weary about these types of things because you hear all of these horror stories on the internet, but she was amazing.  She was very thorough, and even told me to call her if there were any issues afterwards, and since she’s a Nurse Practitioner, I knew that if there was an issue she would help and advise on what would be best.  The facial itself was amazing because here we are two almost three weeks later and my skin STILL feels great.

Don’t forget to linkup below!

**Please note, I received this facial treatment as a review, however all opinions are my own.

That’s after 2 weeks too! I still can’t believe how much this facial has changed my face. I know it will eventually wear off, but it also struck me to get back into my skincare routine which I’ve been doing ever since this facial.

This sounds like an amazing facial. I have fine lines and let’s be honest wrinkles since I am in my mid 30s. This sounds like one I would want to try!

I’m super self conscious mostly about my forehead lines, because unfortunately those are harder to cover up, unless I have bangs which is a little harder for me to have due to how oily my skin gets on my forehead. Otherwise, I’d probably cover them up with those haha!
