Happy Spooktober Witches!
It’s spooky season! Welcome October, my favorite month of the year. Is it just me, or does October feel like new beginnings? I probably feel this way because the seasons change (it doesn’t change the same here in Florida, but it does get a little cooler), it’s my birthday, my fiance’s birthday, and Halloween. October kicks off the holiday season as well. After October we go into the holidays full speed ahead. However, that’s not what this post is about. This post is about making some Stranger Things Halloweenesque looks, but not a full blown costume. I’ll also add some photos from previous Stranger Things looks as well.
“I dump your ass” – Eleven
Top: Hot Topic (I’m wearing a plus size because they didn’t have any left in my size, however I do love the looser fit of this top anyway) // Pants: Old Navy // Shoes: Hot Topic (sold out, but I linked similar ones)
This first look is my Eleven from ST3 inspired look. If you don’t remember, she wore a romper with this print when her and Max were at Starcourt Mall. Eleven bumped into Mike while they were there and said “I dump your ass” with an ice cream cone and then her and Max get onto the bus. Eleven is a strong independent woman that don’t need no man. I mean, she does have super powers so there’s that too.
Here’s a little example before we get into the next look.
“You better run! She’s our friend and she’s crazy!” – Dustin
Hat: Target // Shirt: Target // Pants: DKNY (old) // Shoes: Converse
This outfit was inspired by Dustin from I believe the first ST and the third season. I couldn’t find a full blown outfit, so I figured I would just mix two different outfits together. If you’re a Stranger Things fan, you’d probably recognize this anyway. Plus, it’s a super comfy outfit as well. Dustin is my favorite character from the show. I don’t know what it is about him, but I really love his character. My inner child also got really excited when him and his girlfriend sang Neverending Story in season 3. I used to watch Neverending Story over and over and over again. Ask my mom, if you don’t believe me haha. I’ll add that video to the end of this post if you’re interested in watching it as well.
Here’s an example of the look I was going for.
Previous Stranger Things Inspired Looks
Remember when I went to Atlanta last year with A Girls Guide to Cars? Well, a few of us bonded over our love for nerd things. That’s when we decided we were going to Target to get matching Stranger Things shirts. To make things even better, the hospital that they filmed at was in Atlanta (so are a few other things from STs). We took this picture together, and then my friend Natalie from Gingermeglam and I worked on the picture together to make sure we could make it look like an actual upside down. Natalie also dressed up as Mad Max as well!

Eleven Bitchin’ Stranger Things
Remember in ST2 when Eleven ran away from home? Then she found another person that was like her, and she dressed her up. That’s when Eleven said “bitchin'” and I knew I had to recreate that look in my own way.
When I first discovered an upside down’esque building
When I first watched Stranger Things, it wasn’t until months after season 1 came out. Obviously, you can tell by the fact that I’m surrounded by snow in the above picture. I spotted this place when I was looking online for places that had vines in the area. Then I found this, and just knew it was perfect as a real life “upside down.” The sweatshirt I’m wearing is also Stranger Things, there’s a close up if you click on the link.
Now, let’s move on to the video of Dustin and his girlfriend singing, or you can skip that and the linkup is right below the video. Don’t forget to keep it spooky!

I’ve never watched a whole episode of Stranger Things. I did see a few bits and pieces here and there as my husband binge watched the whole thing but I never really got into it.

I have never watched that show so I don’t get all the references, but all of your ST inspired outfits are wicked cute, my friend!
