Mesh Dress: Hot Topic // Pants: Old Navy

“She knew this transition was not about becoming someone better, but about finally allowing herself to become who she’s always been.”-Unknown
Summer is my favorite season. It has been, and always will be. I love the heat, and I love how everything comes to life in the summer. This summer was really not a summer at all. It rained every day and it was cold. I’m kind of disappointed in Mother Nature. But, what can ya do?
I feel like whenever the seasons transition, my mood changes. When it’s winter time I honestly hate everything and don’t want to be anywhere but inside, but when it’s fall time, it’s a little different. My favorite season goes away until next year, and it starts to get colder (and I get to buy new clothes haha!). I get to celebrate Halloween, my birthday, and the fiance’s birthday so it’s almost like a season of transition for me. I become one year older, my fiancé becomes one year older, and I become more creative by thinking of new Halloween costumes and not to copy any old ones.
I love seeing the leaves change colors, but I hate when they all fall off the trees and it looks like the upside down outside. If you don’t get that reference, you need to watch Stranger Things.
All of that brings me to today’s outfit. I love buying pieces that I know I will wear again, and wear in multiple seasons. I hate when you can only wear something once or twice and then never wear it again. What’s the fun in that? I have to get use out of my clothing, otherwise I see it as a waste of money. I have seen a lot of bloggers out there, constantly have something new, and you never see them wear something more than once. While that may work for them, I just don’t have the finances to do that, nor would I want to. I love being able to be creative and come up with multiple different outfits using one skirt, or one top.
If you take a look at my outfit, the mesh top/dress might look a little familiar. I wore it in the summer with shorts and my doc’s, but this time around I wanted to make it edgy but in a different way. I remember being a lot younger and the trend was to wear dresses with jeans. I was never a huge fan of that trend, and I’m still not a huge fan, BUT in my defense, it’s not a full dress, it’s a mesh dress. If you remember what I wrote in my post about the mesh dress over the summer, I said I can’t wait to transition it to a fall outfit. So, here it is!
xoxo Monica

You are looking fantastic Monica! I love wearing my pieces throughout different seasons too – it reinvents them. I love this scaled back look with the leopard heels adding intrigue. Fabulous! xx

This mesh dress looks wonderful as a Autumn outfit! I like how you styled it and those leopard pumps look beautiful. We are on the opposite end when it comes to the weather! I love cooler and colder months and I love nothing more than being cozy. As an introvert, being on the inside is my jam! Lol I hope you are having a great week so far.

It is so fantastic, Monica! I love the way you styled it over skinny jeans and those shoes are spot on! Now I am thinking for your birthday post of styling my lace dress over jeans! I had styled it twice already over jeans with a moto jacket and I loved it but I never got adequate photos. I am determined this time to get some proper pictures and share on my blog! In honor of your birthday, my fabulous friend!
